14th UK Heat Transfer Conference & ThermaPOWER Meetings

The UK Heat Transfer Conference is UK's premier convention on Heat Transfer coupled to fluid flow and mass transfer. The Conference brings together national and international scientists and researchers from Academia, Industry and Government discussing the state-of-art, making global impacts in science and engineering.

The University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University were delighted to host the 14th UK National Heat Transfer Conference (UKHTC) 2015 from Sept 7-8, 2015 at Pollock Halls, The University of Edinburgh.

14th UK Heat Transfer Conference & 2nd ThermaPOWER Workshop

The University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University were delighted to host the 14th UK National Heat Transfer Conference (UKHTC) 2015 from Sept 7-8, 2015 at Pollock Halls, The University of Edinburgh. Organised on behalf of the UK National Committee for Heat Transfer, the conference will include contributions relevant to all aspects of heat transfer, fluid flow and related mass transfer. Following on from the format developed at the UKHT Conference in Imperial College London we aim to ensure that this will be an informal and lively event allowing time for the exchange of information regarding the latest work in all aspects of heat transfer. Graduate students and others at early stages in their careers in heat transfer are particularly encouraged to attend - this will be an excellent opportunity to present your own work and to meet others active in the field. To aid this, a limited number of bursaries will be made available to doctoral research students, through the generosity of British Airways, to help cover the costs of participation.

The final versions of all accepted papers have been published on a USB stick which was distributed to the participants during the conference. It is anticipated that Special Issues of Applied Thermal Engineering (Elsevier) and Heat Transfer Engineering (Taylor & Francis) will be devoted to papers presented at the Conference. The Guest Editors will select appropriate papers for peer review, with the agreement of the authors, shortly after the conclusion of the Conference.
